Ash Devine was divine in West Virginia

by Jack Moe

A large audience was completely enchanted by original singer and songwriter Ash Devine at Rivers Resort last week. Her style is difficult to pinpoint as it pulls from influences that include Reggie, Country, Folk and Fusion Music. “I have always been spiritually connected to artists that include Bob Marley, Ani DiFranco, and Joanne Mitchell, explains Devine, “ and I think my music reflects some of their styles and energy.”

She is right, you can hear those influences in some of her original songs, but there is much more. She has a unique style that sometimes suggests seems to pull from Sheryl Crow or Bonnie Raitt. Ash Devine is a singer to watch as a rising folk celebrity. Don’t miss her performances, they are listed at her site: www.ashdevine.com
